Mr. & Mrs. Langendorfer!!

This past weekend, on July 11, our great friends Nick and Jill got married! For those of you who don't know them, we all worked at Kahunaville together. We have a tight knit group of friends from there, we have all stayed close all these years even though the restaurant closed 5 years ago! I stood up for them and had a fabulous time! We all had so much fun, maybe a little too much ;) Here are some fun photos of their special day . . . .
Here is the "female" side of the bridal party after getting our hair done that morning. One picture I didn't get was of all the flower girls (there is one that is not pictured), they were adorable!

Jill is getting her gift from Nick while getting ready! It was a beautiful necklace that she had wanted!

Here is Lisa with the Holy Water. I hope this picture isn't offensive to anyone, I debated posting it. But hey, if they are going to put the keg of Holy Water out, I am sure we weren't the first to pose for this picture . . . . .

Lisa, myself, and Becky . . . I loved out dresses! They were so comfortable! And as I have told many others already, the best part about them was they had pockets!! Can you even tell mine are filled with lipgloss, a camera, and sunglasses???
Time for the bus ride to the reception! It was a great time, we all had many laughs!

Well, seeing as they got married on July 11 (7-11), we had to stop for slurpees! This was a fun stop!

If you can see up top on the ceiling, Duke (the Liquid Aviator) managed to make his way from 7-11, back on the bus with us, and then later to the reception . . . .

Ahhh, the golf carts. Not sure why, but the staff at Cenntenial let our group take these out on the golf course. This was a riot!

Nick & Jill's first dance as Mr. & Mrs. Langendorfer!!

For any of those out there that are familiar with "cannon ball comin", this may be the largest I have seen yet! Notice Jill's fingers around the Boone's Farm? Good job not spilling the sangria on your dress! It was all fun and games until a bottle broke by the bartender on break . . . oops! And I didn't get the chance to say it, but great job on the CPR on the bottle Nick!
Poor Jill, she finally got to sit and enjoy a piece of her cake as the reception was closing down!

I think my husband had a few too many cocktails! He never gets a Saturday night off from work and had a sober wife for driving!

Fourth of July Weekend

For the holiday this year, we went upnorth to Tracy's. They have their trailer parked there all summer and their boat in the water. We all had a great time! We took the boat out to a small "dune" to play for the afternoon. The kids enjoyed swimming and playing in the sand, even though it was a bit chilly!
Lorelai really enjoyed the boat on the way out! She loved watching for other boats and waving! On the way back she passed out in Tracy's lap. Tracy had to support her head around her cheeks, it was so cute! I cannot believe I didn't take a picture!

Lorelai enjoyed walking up the hill, down the hill with Daddy! I thinks he really liked how fast she got going! The big kids took some time to bury Madison, she looked so comfy!

Taking a break from the sand and water! I think this may be the first time she played with Barbies . . .

At home on Sunday, we put her little pool in the backyard to play, she went back and forth from the pool, to her house, and her slide . . .

This picture is one of my favorites! She was being so silly and was trying to lick her toys. One lick of the dirty telescope on her slide, and I got a priceless look!

Lorelai loves her little house! She sits on the little chair at the table and says "eat" over and over! She pretend plays like she is eating at her table, it is so sweet to watch!

She really liked the pool, but it was a bit too chilly! She would step in and out, but she really enjoyed filling up her bucket with water and dumping it out over her tummy. Then she would let out the loud, deep laugh! Josh and I were laughing so hard because she was cracking herself up!

Being silly with Daddy!!

May/June 2009

I haven't posted is such awhile, that I finally have a few minutes to sit down and catch up with everyone! We have had a busy summer and really enjoying it with Lorelai being a toddler! She is so much fun and just takes in everything and can't wait to do more!

The first real nice day we had, Lorelai enjoyed her first ice cream sandwich with Daddy outside. We got to play with the sprinklers and sidewalk chalk too!

We went out to Grand Haven on a very windy day to watch their kite festival with Gunk Gunk (Josh's mom) and Papa. Lorelai loved watching all the colorful kites and walking in the sand. After the wind really kicked in, she wasn't such a huge fan anymore, too sandy!
For Father's Day this year, I took Lorelai to Naked Plates in Grandville to paint a new pasta bowl for Daddy. She had a great time and did such a creative job! She understood the routine of rinsing off one tile, before picking the next. She picked all the colors herself!

For Memorial Day, we (me, Josh, Lorelai, my Mom & Bob) went to the parade in Jenison! She enjoyed it much more this year than last. She loved grabbing the candy from the street and putting it in her cup! The best part was she never realized it was edible, she just enjoyed collecting it :) After the parade we went downtown to eat at the restaurant in the Boardwalk Apartments. Josh and I lived there before we built our house, so it was fun to see how it changed. After lunch we went across the street to the park to play by the river.

We went to Lorelai's first Festival downtown this summer with Tracy, Chris and the kids. It was a lot of fun and we all enjoyed the various food! Unfortunatly we went too late in the day, so the kids missed most of the activities, but we all still had fun! Lorelai even got her first ice cream cone!
And this picture was from our first . . . . and last day of gymnastics. We thought we would give it a try, as she is always on the go and used to structure. However, she wanted nothing to do with following the directions. The class "starts" at 18 months, but was definatly not designed for that age at all! We will try again after the first of the year!

And for anyone who may have missed it . . . . . Lorelai would like to announce that she will be a big sister in January!

The Life of Lorelai

So the past few months, Lorelai has really been a joy! She has been learning so much and doing so many new things, I just love hanging out with her and having fun! Here are just a few random cute "Lorelai things" . . . .

We have always called Lorelai's pacifiers "suckies." This came from all 4 of my sister's children calling them that, I guess it just stuck! She is pretty good for the most part mainly needing them at bedtime, and she cannot go to bed with just one or two, it is usually about 12! She snuggles up in the corner and scoops them all up to her face, and this needs to happen for her to fall asleep!

She has a few favorite things, lately it has been clocks, babies, and shoes. I am sure that her small obsession for shoes has come from my sister Tracy, cause it definatly has not come from me! Lorelai is even good about knowing the difference between her crocs and her sneakers, because "croc" was one of her first words when she got them! She goes crazy in the mall when we pass a store with shoes out on display. Here she is watching Elmo in my shoes . . . too cute!
One of the big things we have been starting to work on has been going on the potty! For awhile she showed a big interest in it, but now, it is slowly diminishing. She loves to sit on the potty as soon as her diaper is off, but it doesn't always last long! We do a lot of the "itsy bitsy spider"! At Appletree, when they successfully go on the potty, they get an apple with their name on the wall. Lorelai woke up dry one afternoon, so Miss Jessica put her on the potty and she WENT!!! Big girl!! I was sad that I missed it, but so proud of her! We are yet to do it again . . . .

Birthday Parties!

We have 4 nieces & nephews with April birthdays! We celebrated with Madison (9), Nolan (7), Emma (5), and Jack (3) this weekend at their birthday parties! On Saturday we went to Alma to spend the afternoon with Emma & Jack, and today we had a party with Maddie & Nolan. Lorelai had so much fun at both of them! She loved playing outside and in the playroom at Emma & Jacks, and had a riot dancing and playing with balloons at Madison & Noey's! And of course, she loved the cake at both :)

Abrina is so affectionate with Lorelai, they love each other very much!

Aunt Kellie ("cocky") made them a Mario Cart cake!

Field Trip!

Lorelai's class at Appletree took a field trip to see the butterflies at the Meijer Gardens. We put all of their carseats on the bus and ventured out! I wish I had gotten a picture of them all in the bus, they were so darn cute and excited! One of Lorelai's new words is butterfly ("yai") so she got to test it out a lot! We also took a visit to the children's garden, we were blessed with a nice enough day to let them splash in the water a bit!

Lorelai and her friend Emma were holding hands . . . so cute!

They did so good walking around with so many people!

She found a butterfly!

Lorelai loves anything to do with water!
